Horoscope part Sixteen

“So. They broke into your house while you were in it, and they appeared to be searching for something?” Markus asked, looking over at Saul. Saul nodded.“Yeah. I don’t know what exactly but-” He started but Cassie interrupted him.“I think I know…” She stated, nibbling on her ice cream bar, “They were after leverage”“Leverage?” Mara asked. Cassie nodded.“If they captured Saul, they could hold him for ransom until Taylor becomes nothing but their puppet,” She explained, “All they’d have to do is torture Saul a little bit and knowing Taylor, she’d come crawling right to them just to save Saul. They might go after any one of us now, so we have to be on the look out at all times.”Markus nodded in thought.“We could all stay at my house…” He stated. We all stared at him. He simply gazed back at everyone of us, “Yeah, I know Fallon is supposed to live there, but he never stays over. Plus we could take turns keeping watch for them.” Katie nodded.“That would work… but they’re not all bad, you know.” Katie stated. Markus nodded.“I know. They’re still human after all. But- what was that?” Markus asked. There was a rustling in the trees. Suddenly Taurus emerged from the fence. We all turned to him, summoning our powers. He just held his hands out, looking defensive.“I’m not here to fight.” He said, his green eyes reflecting the forest around him. Katie stared at him in awe, but despite this she responded, “Then what are you here for?” She asked. Taurus smiled calmly.“I’m here to help. I’m tired of being a mat for Zeus. After what happened yesterday, I know now that if I want to protect someone, it has to be with your side.” He stated. Markus grinned and walked over to Taurus, holding one hand out. Taurus hesitated then took it. Markus shook it.“Welcome to the team, Taurus.” He stated. Taurus shook his head.“Call me Tyson” He stated. Markus nodded letting go of his hand.“Got it. I’m Markus. This is Taylor, Katie, Cassie, Mara and Saul. At the moment we’re all in danger.” He stated. Tyson sighed and nodded.“Yeah. I know. They’re after everyone now.” He stated grimly. Markus sighed.“Well, I guess everyone should go back in twos to pack up. I’ll accompany Taylor and then we’ll all meet back up at pinewood, got it? Feel free to use your powers for transportation.” He stated. Everyone nodded, then vanished. I felt someone’s arms around me and spun around to see Markus.“Ready? Lets go” He whispered in my ear. I felt my body heat up then suddenly mystify. I felt the world floating around me. My eyes suddenly opened and I was back in my room. I looked up at Markus who simply grinned.“The thing about Fire and water is that it makes steam. There for we were just steam for a couple moments.” He stated. I nodded, still confused, but to concentrated on the fact that I had to pack to notice. As soon as I was done, I felt Markus’s arms around me again and we were in the pinewood field. It only took a moment for everyone else to appear around us. I looked over to Markus who closed his eyes. Suddenly an image of a house and how to get there appeared in my mind. A voice rang through my head.“Everyone ready? Okay. Let’s go” Markus said. I closed my eyes and turned into mist. When I opened my eyes again, I had teleported to the house. Markus was about an inch in front of me, opening the door.“Mom! I’m home! And I brought some friends!” He called.“Okay honey. Are they staying over?” She asked.“Yeah for a bit!” He called back.“Okay, I’ll make extras for dinner!” She called.“Thanks mom!” Markus called back. He motioned for us to walk upstairs. “By the way, your brother came home for a bit today. He’s staying here for a week, he said” His mother called. We all froze. As if to prove her point, Fallon stood at the top of the stairs, grinning.“Welcome home, bro” He said, smirking
